Stories of the Arizona Territory
I am pleased to announce that my short story "Next Year" was recognized with a certificate for First Place by the Society of Southwestern Authors, a Tucson organization that has been in existence since 1972. Their awards banquet was held at the Tucson Hotel Center on November 19 with winners and honorable mentions in the three categories (memoir, poetry, and short story) presented with awards, including publication in their annual magazine, "The Storyteller," and asked to read a section of their submissions. It was a lovely event, and I was happy to have as my guest Thomas Cobb--mentor, friend, and author. Thank you to the SSA! You can read the short story HERE.
